Senior Accountant
Role Overview:
• TARGET LOGISTICS, is fast growing freight forwarding company in the International Logistics company, is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented “Senior Accountant” to optimize our daily logistics operations. Logistics accounting involves tracking and managing the financial aspects of logistics operations.
Main responsibilities:
• Preparing and managing budgets for logistics departments, ensuring that expenses align with financial goals.
• Handling billing and invoicing related to logistics services, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Generating financial reports that provide insights into logistics costs, performance metrics and profit margins.
• Assessing the value of inventory to determine carrying costs and improve financial planning.
• Ensuring that all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Analyzing cost data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Reviewing contracts with suppliers, carriers, and service providers to ensure financial compliance and adherence to terms.
• Working closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accuracy in reporting and forecasts.
• Monitoring logistics performance metrics and assessing the financial impact of logistics activities.
• Communicating logistics financial data and insights to management and other stakeholders for informed decision-making.
• Identifying financial risks in logistics operations and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.
Требования
- A bachelor/master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field;
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Proven experience in working with foreign internet banking systems, including international payments, transfers, and account management.
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
- Working conditions:
- Location: Baku city;
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 working days per week;
- Salary - 2000 AZN
- Working hours: 15:00 - 01:00 (“Office based”)
